Some perhaps still do. Ashmore Estates has also been featured on the Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures”, SyFy’s “Ghost Hunters” and the Booth Brothers’ documentary “Children of the Grave 2”. For Friday night you would be able to start setting up at 4 p.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, then on Sunday all camp sites will have to be cleared by 4 p.m. There will be porta-potties and a hand wash station outside for you use, but NO electrical hookups or available outside plumbing, hook ups, etc. There will be a designated fire pit or two for everyone to share or you can bring a portable metal one. Be a Ghost Hunter (investigator) for a night while also aiding in the preservation of history. Come investigate the historic and haunted Sisters Tea House (formerly the historic Navajo Hotel) with Paranormal Task Force. PTF investigators have been featured in paranormal shows such as Spooked Television's (Booth Brothers) "Children of the Grave"; (aired on SyFy) and "Exorcist Files:The Haunted Boy" (aired on Destination America"; "Haunt U"; which aired on Comcast's Direct TV (Paranormal TV); Ghost Adventures; Fact or Faked Paranormal Files and more. The Sisters Tea House was originally built about 1909 where it most likely served as a residence until the early 1920's when it operated as the Holz Hotel and Saloon. Around 1929 it got a face lift then started serving at the Navajo Hotel and Saloon until purchased by Garrett Hitzert (mayor 1955 - 1969) and changed to the Hitzert Hotel. During this period, it was also used for the towns council meeting until 1966. The building eventually closed to the public and became vacant. This City of Fenton purchased it in 1992 and begun to restore it as a history center. It then became the Sisters Tea House in 2001 which it still serves as. Through the years there have been multiple deaths which occurred in this building and it was haunted by others for some time due to various experiences within its doors! Local police have even responded to calls in the middle of the night when others have seen the upstairs light some one and witnessed a female looking out or passing by the window when no one was inside and the building was closed and locked tight. A pre-investigative meeting and tour will start at 7:00 p.m. to present the historical; haunted history of the Sisters Tea House. Then the all night investigation will begin around 8:00 p.m. and conclude at 3 a.m. Everyone will have the opportunity to investigate with investigators of Paranormal Task Force and to use hand held investigative equipment and receive paranormal field training as desired. You are also encouraged to bring your own investigative equipment if you have such and remember not to forget a working flashlight!
